BillLobl Jun 11, 2014 #1 With a new hard drive installed on my Dell Inspiron 15R N5030 and the recovery disk installed for Windows 7 with SP1 installed, I am unable to boot the computer to Windows. I am totally unsure of what to do to get this thing running.

D DelJo63 Jun 12, 2014 #3 Windows/7 uses a different MBR structure. Get to a command prompt using the Recovery tool and enter bootrec /fixmbr if that doesn't do the trick then use bootrec /fixboot
