Norton ghost error

so i have norton ghost and ihave recovery cd. When i insert it into my drive to start it i get a error after selecting the one chioce i have it says

0x00000e9
an unexpected i/oerror has occured

well -- you're not alone. google for ghost error 0x00000e9 finds several
hits for win2000, winxp/64bit but all in Italian.

What OS version are you running and have you tried the Norton user Forums for any comments?
