Not Able to Connect To P2P Programs, SP2 Problem?

I'm not able to connect to Gnutella, which means my Limewire and IMesh do not work. I heard this was because of a bug in Windows SP2. I've tried the patch for it and it has done nothing. Does anyone have any alternatives to what's causing this problem? HELP!
