Purchased a sony sounder for my mother's tv. Her Hitachi TV is around 8 years old - it's not a smart tv, it does not have a optical port and the two HDMI ports do not appear to be ARC.
I've purchased an Audio Out and TV (ARC) adaptor repeater as a way around but I still can't see how I am going to get the sound bar working. (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B073FCM6LF/ref=cm_sw_r_oth_api_i_d8dzDbC9Z3KRN)
The soundbar for reference is SONY HT-S1000F/SF150
any advice would be greatly received as I am getting a little lost as to which cables should fo where!
