Problem with Norton

trying to get rid of left over norton internet security fragments. downloaded norton removal tool from symantec's site and ran it. However after using it quick books would no longer run. Got an error message to the effect that it could not read the registration files and wanted the program to be reinstalled. Restored the system back to the point before I ran the tool and now quickbooks runs. Any ideal why this occured and how can I get rid of all norton files without messing up quickbooks.

Probably your best bet would be to read this thread HERE. If you then have problems with Quickbooks again, just reinstall Quickbooks.

Norton can be a complete pain in the bum to get rid of.

this is because of the firewall with Norton. You will need to enable quickbooks to import/export files over the net to and from your financial institutions.
