Random restarts

Hello everybody,

About a month ago I purchased BF2142. While I was playing it crashed usually everyday, other peoples game crashed as well so I thought nothing of it and waited for the crash. It would usually crash restart and say windows had recovered from a serious error...blah,blah.

However I started to get these reboots outside of the game. When I reported the error it came back saying it was eiter the CPU, motherboard, memory or PSU that had caused the errors.

Since then I have about 6 of these errors. My hard disc has started being noisy as well. The one time I have been awake when it has crashed it made a very loud click then restarted, could this be causing the problem?

I went to the event manager -> system apart from the system errors there were literally hundreds of disk errors with the description:

"The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk2\D."

The system errors decription was:

Catagory (102) Event: 1003

"Error code 0000009c, parameter1 00000004, parameter2 8054d5f0, parameter3 b2000000, parameter4 00070f0f."

I have had the system for about a year, it is overclocked but has been for a year and has been very stable. As I said this is the first time ive had problems with his pc. (how ever the hard disk is about 3/4 years old).

I have run chkdsk /f and chkdsk /r
I have the latest drivers for my motherboard and cpu.

My system:
amd 3800X2
Asus A8N5X nforce 4.
2 GB Corsair memory.
x1800XT 512

Thanks

I have attached all the minidump files, thanks once again.

Forgot to mention these crashes occur about every 6 days. Thanks

It has been a while since it last happened (14 days) i also occasionally get the "data execution prevention" message that says that the code run was to do with windows explorer? The Attatched minidumps are here:

I submitted this in the hardware section and nobody said anything :(. Thanks

The 6 most recent dumps are all the same, a CPU error - see below. The first thing to do would be to remove the overclock and see what happens. That's a pretty hefty overclock if the default is 2000MHz.
