SATA problem...

I have a SATA 3.0 hard drive but my motherboard only supports SATA 1.5, the hard drive works with the setup, but only reads at half the size of what it is (127 instead of 250). Any suggestions?

update bios, chipset drivers, and windows update. check manufacture's website for fixes and updates to drivers (if any). also read the other threads about this common problem.
