Should I get Starcraft or Warcraft 3.. or Both?

Please explain why i should get the game

also, heres why im stuck

Warcraft 3 has ongoing tournaments and looks like more players

Starcraft is coming out with starcraft 2 and seems to be favored by blizz

take starcraft if you want to get hooked for long time, take warcraft 3 if you want to have more adventures; more races and things.. but i have been playing starcraft about 10 years, so it's really easy hook-able

Warcraft 3 has WAY more players (ROC and TFT combined i mean... if no good games on any of them, try the other. )
Also it has a bunch of custom maps to make you play different ways. Tower Defense, Tower Wars, Hero Wars, DOTA, Kodo Tag, even car racing!
If you get Warcraft 3, you should SO get The Frozen Throne (expansion)

I'd vote for Starcraft. From what I see about SC2 its going to be pretty similar, so if you get familiar with it the jump to SC2 when it comes out should put you ahead of the curve a bit (although the hardcore guys are going to be good immediately too).
