Should I upgrade?

I currently own a Toshiba Satellite 305CDS/2.1. I've looked at it and it seems it has been upgraded before. It currently runs Windows 98 (yes I know that this computer is older than sin), has 64 MB of RAM, and has a 10 GB hard drive. Is it possible to upgrade the processor on this laptop or no? If not, I won't even bother with upgrading anything else and probably just get a new one. Oh, and I need a new power cord for it too, runs on 15V DC and 2.0 A; if anyone knows where to get a new one please tell me, otherwise they should just be on eBay, right?

Unless you can find a cpu somewhere as a spare part and you know someone who has the expertise to know how to tear down a laptop, do the upgrade, and put it back together to run there is really no reason to consider even attempting it.

Besides, it is a dinosaur that is already fossilized. ;)

Save up and get yourself a new one. There are some tremendous deals out there and with Windows 7 just about to be released now is the time to do research.

As for the power cord I have found eBay to actually carry new items for old systems. It is worth a shot.
