In a nutshell: The PlayStation 5 Pro officially hits retail on November 7, and there will be plenty of optimized games to take for a spin on launch day. Sony has published a list of more than 50 games that have been enhanced and are ready to take advantage of the console's beefier hardware later this week.

The initial batch of enhanced games spans an array of genres, and includes hits such as EA Sports College Football 25, Baldur's Gate 3, Hogwarts Legacy, No Man's Sky, and The Callisto Protocol. The latest entry in the Call of Duty franchise, Black Ops 6, also made the cut – no doubt great news for Activision as the game is already off to a record start.

Sony announced its mid-cycle refresh back in September. The company was light on details, although we were told at the time that the updated console delivers a 45 percent boost in graphics rendering power thanks to 67 percent more compute units and memory that is 28 percent faster.

The PlayStation 5 Pro's $699 price tag came as a shock to some, especially considering Sony didn't lower the cost of the original in light of the updated version. Indeed, a standard PS5 will still set you back $499 – the same price it launched at back in 2020.

I'm a bit surprised Gran Turismo 7 isn't on this list. I could've sworn I saw somewhere that it would be enhanced for PS5 Pro?
Surprised to see Horizon: Zero Dawn Remastered isn’t on there either. It launched like a week ago.

Grand Turismo they used as a marketing tool to show off the new ability’s, really strange for it to not be there.

Sadly that thing can't enhance any games unless the developers releases a patch....so practically some people would be spending at least $700.00 on a maybe.

Sony's official lists and messaging regarding patch availability has been really weird (and bad) leading up to launch. Horizon Remastered has "PS5 Pro Enahnced" right on the store page, so I'd assume the Pro patch for that would already be out. It is missing from Gran Turismo though, wonder if that one is coming a bit late due to issues.

The main reason to buy it new games. Although, I think Sony will keep releasing new games compatible with ps5

Really glad to see titles like No Man's Sky and Hogwarts Legacy on the list – both of these games have such immersive environments that will definitely benefit from the added horsepower of the PS5 Pro.

I’m hyped for the hardware bump, but that $699 price tag is a bit steep. It’s basically paying the cost of a gaming PC upgrade every few years now, especially with no drop on the original PS5 price. That said, if the visual and performance gains are substantial enough, the extra investment might be worth it for some.

I know there’s a lot of contention around the price of the PS5 Pro, but personally, I agree the price could be better, but even at 699 it is still a decent deal when it is pretty much a full system with OS and controller to operate it. It may be possible to fix a PC with the same cost, but I am not sure if you will get the same level of performance in games. The downside of going for the PS5 Pro vs PC is down to the cost of games which should be factored into one’s consideration. Most games on PS Store cost more than on Steam. You may even get free games on GOG and EPIC from time to time. So there’s a lot of savings when it comes to games. Since games from Sony studios are no longer exclusive to PlayStation consoles, I feel there are less reasons to buy a console. I may just wait for the game to be released on the PC down the road.

Neah, for a console with no disk drive and no stand, it's a really bad deal. And a full system would be a PC, a console is generally considered a limited system because of how many restrictions it has.

I don't think a PC needs to be the same price as a console since the two of them do different things even though there is some overlap. In general, at current street prices you need about 1000$ (taxes not included) to get a good PC that can match or surpass a console (the easy part to surpass is the CPU :D).

Do you have any experience with PS4/PS5 at all? Because games had performance mode for years now. Meaning PS5 Pro will be able to brute force performance in games with no patch. Just like PS4 Pro had boost mode which improved performance in pretty much all games, patch or not.

55+ games on release and pretty much all games going forward will have Pro support. Seems like a nobrainer to me. I would never buy base PS5 over Pro at this point.

Xbox user or simply console hater? Or base PS5 owner that overpaid on release?
