Star Citizen's single-player element, Squadron 42, is still "one or two years" away

Well, I can say honestly say I feel I was scammed by cig first with constellation phoenix and the 890 jump. There are other digital ships that don't live up to their marketing like the Star fairer. I was told here on techspot that I should be forced to keep star citizen remember? I was cyberstalked and harassed for my thoughts questions or sources.

I am pro nft for star citizen it would mean I could get a refund and finally leave star citizen. It would also mean I wouldn't have people telling me I don't own the 890 jump and be fighting over what is a donation. purchase or pledge for the 890 jump or any other digital ship I own.

As far as NFT's go I strongly believe CIG did talk about I know some star citizen gamers have.

I dare to ask the question and talk about it what will happen if star citizen fails I know people saw my comments on spectrum. 1 to 2 years for sq42 let's be realistic maybe 3 years? star citizen MMORPG 10 years.

Just wanted to add people over on MMORPG were laughing at me and told me I should be forced to keep star citizen. I was told I was no victim to a star citizen scam even though I tried my best to prove it with 890 jump.

890 jump being exploration I was downvoted and personally attacked on Reddit..

Isn't the current system basically NFTs in everything but name? You can sell the ship you own to other people via the gray market. I see loads of people on that subreddit offloading their stuff. You can get around 60% of the value back and can actually even make a profit if you have some of the rarer stuff. Might be worth looking into it if you wanna get out. Although the guy that I know that helps people with it all said that he is getting a large number of requests daily now and it's getting harder and harder to find buyers.

Sir or Ms or miss I am not sure how to address you by.

I have never bought or sold ships on the grey market. I heard it is risky to go on the grey market and sell stuff. I wouldn't be able to sell all of my ships on the grey market because I have bought them back. You're only allowed to gift once. I would need to sell my account. I was looking at people selling their accounts. it looks like you have to have your address on it no matter what.

Right now my refund has been ongoing since last year.

I have seen some people claim that star citizen is the first nft like this youtube video.
I was wrong about Chris Roberts and I let my love for space blind me. I was scammed and I was wrong about Chris Roberts or star citizen.
well if there is a god somewhere he warned me about my love for space games. I think. Someone from my old google plus also pointed out one of Chris Robert's flaws and I made the choice to run from the comment because I had a love for space.

The day the star citizen community and CIg touched and changed the 890 jump was the last straw for me. 890 jump was never promised to be a passenger transport ship in its original marketing or by early game devs. The 890 jump was to be an exploration ship. The day someone or the community told me the 890 jump was just sighting seeing ship it was the last straw.

CIg, Chris Roberts, and the star citizen community can go have their useless role-playing transport ship or whatever they want to call the 890 jump without me.

Ah, I see. Sorry to hear brotha.

Yeah, it can be risky, I've heard the same thing. Anyways. All the best to you.

Roberts was wealthy before Star Citizen or Squadron 42 funding came along. Just because he may have bought a few things after SC/SQ42 funding does not mean that is where the SC/SQ42 funding went.

Interestingly enough, maybe its not the whole story, but CloudImperium Games has public financial statements - https://cloudimperiumgames.com/blog/corporate/cloud-imperium-financials-for-2020

I am sure no one will listen and will consider hearsay, rumor, and conjecture the ultimate in absolute fact about Roberts, SC, and SQ42.

Edit: I was going t mention that SC/SQ42 have a development team of some 600+ people spread over multiple offices as I have in other similar threads, but the argument seems pointless since the court of public opinion already has the whole operation jailed for fraud.
So what if Roberts was wealthy? If you purchase something with a promised delivery date that was what, eight years ago, would you not be suspicious that something unsavoury is going on? Especially when the business just continues to troll for more and more money?

I, for one, will be very surprised if this all turns out to be legitimate. And so will the vast majority of people who put money into the game. No one should need this long or this much money to deliver a video game. Period. Whether you like it or not!

Bro, it's not a rumor. These files are in the public domain. If you actually, genuinely cared about the truth you would have looked it up yourself. But it's difficult to look at stuff like that and admit to yourself that you were taken for a ride. I understand why people just deflect instead.

So here I did the legwork for you.

https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/08815227/filing-history

It's the first file.

I'll even sum it up for you.

From PDF page 8: "Directors: Ortwin Freyermuth, Christopher Roberts, Erin Roberts, Ezer Klein, Marc Nitsche, Sandi Roberts" (Ezer and Marc are from Calders investment)

PDF page 8: "ordinary dividends were paid amounting to £1,007,559" (cash in the pockets of shareholders)

PDF p15: "all attributable to the owners of the parent company" (money moves to and from the main Cloud Imperium company in USA)

p21: "purchase of intangible assets £2,064,144 (no idea what this is)

p21: "purchase of associates (in 2019) £826,657" (CI UK bought 25% of Turbulent, more below)

p31: "Turnover, Sales £31,762,819 in 2020, up from £23,115,290 in 2019" (total money brought into UK companies)

p31: "In the opinion of the Directors, analysis of turnover based on geographical location would be seriously prejudicial to the interests of the Group, therefore this has not been disclosed" (which countries/companies does the £31,762,819 come from? they aren't telling)

p32: Directors' remuneration: £414,359 in 2020, up from £363,425 in 2019

p32: Remuneration to the highest-paid director: £292,322 in 2020, up from £283,192

p33: "Video games tax credit payable to the group of £4,731,677" (it's a pledge from the UK government, no refunds)

p38: "Subsidiaries: CIG UK, Cloud Imperium Rights UK, RSI UK, RSI Germany" (it's turtle shells all the way down)

p38: "Associates: Turbulent Media Inc, 25%" (CI UK own part of Turbulent)

p40: "The company transferred £1,000,000 from its share premium account to its profit and loss reserves as a capital reduction transaction." (someone cashed out £1m of shares)

p41-43: (details of some money moves to and from the main Cloud Imperium company in USA)
I appreciate your post, but I don't see evidence of wrongdoing here.

Are you a lawyer or something?

My bet is that much of what you claim to be citing as "evidence" is normal for a financial statement.

Having worked for a startup, I know that the people running the company do draw a salary. It's within the bounds of normalcy for people running a company to do so. Do you expect that people should not be paid? Perhaps they should refuse to pay their developers, too?

Doing the "Leg Work" to find any mention of Roberts or Cloud Imperium being charged by an Attorney General somewhere in the US, or some legal authority from some other country produces basically zero results. Someone, somewhere, given all the dissatisfaction and "its a fraud" statements out there, should have complained to the relevant authorities in their jurisdiction, and assuming so, why does there appear to be lack of lawsuits filed by any jurisdiction?

I highly doubt that this "fraud" has found a way to write legal agreements for people who have contributed to SC/SQ42, that makes it legal for them to outright do something illegal unless the laws are so f'd up that that somehow becomes possible.

Honestly, I'm not in this to argue about it, and, you're right. In no way will I invest anything further into SC/SQ42. Yes, I did buy into it, but what I put in was not in anyway, beyond what I thought I could afford to lose.

It's an ambitious game, and it may never complete; however, if it is an outright fraud, why no are there no charges from relevant authorities? Given how long it has been in progress, does it not make sense that there should be some charges from some relevant authority somewhere - assuming - of course that there is something illegal going on?

I am not ruling out, either, that those charges could materialize, but so far, they have not.

I never said he was doing something illegal. We were talking about him making millions of a crowdfunded project without delivering a product yet. Not only him but also his wife, his brother as well as outside investors.

You said it was all not true and "alternative facts". I showed you the financial reports CiG themselves submit yearly which shows how much the director makes a year. Almost half a million.

If this was a company like any other company there would be no problem. But this is a crowdfunded project. He has delivered no product yet. Neither of the products he has promised. He is drawing almost half a mil a year. Shareholders are cashing out too. There is something morally wrong about paying out himself and his family this type of money and having investors involved already making money for a project that isn't finished. On a project that is largely alive because of the backers. I don't know. It's wrong.

In regards to the legality of it all though. Nobody knows what may happen if this does fall apart. This much money burnt with nothing to show for it will definitely attract attention from people interested to find out what happened to that money.

Anyways. Never said anything about charges.

That's how it worked for Tesla too. The more money Musk lost per quarter, the higher the stock price went.

2016 release date, ladies and gentlemen.

just another $100 million, and scam citizen will launch for realsies this time!

A reminder, this game was supposed to have a 2014 launch date on a budget of $500,000, despire recieving 800 times that the game still isnt out in 2022, all while chris roberts enjoys his multi million dollar mansion, expensive cars, and a YACHT.

Textbook scam/feature creep gone wild.
A reminder, the scope changed mid-2014 approved by backers for two triple-AAA :solo + MMO. Meanwhile haters keep throwing misleading information. CR does not have a yacht and never have nor the initial budget was 500.000$.
All is false. Hater hate, what else lol

Hahahahaha.

Biggest scam in the history of the gaming industry.
30.0000 backers playing daily on average, 100.000 during free event. Several free weeks to everyone tot test/play the latest build all for 45/35^depending on event.
All flyable ships available with in game credits.
+700 devs working to release quarterly patch. Worst scam ever.

Clearly Chris Roberts is living high off the hog and just wants the gravy train to continue forever. I "purchased" the game so long ago I can't remember the year! It has yet to arrive and I don't know that it ever will ... We need a federal FBI investigation of this scam!

Maybe that why Roberts' moved the entire organization to the UK from the US, eh?
LOL.... FBI don't give a s...t about haters.

You have to admit, Mr.Roberts and CiG keep raising the bar, and then failing to clear it.

blackdreamhunk... ta guy who never understand the meaning of basic words describing 890 Jump as a Super-Yacht and raging on every forum explaining he can't bit Capital ship like Idris.

Not only every single ship is subject to change (for the best in case of SC) but your campaign against community is just showing how immature you are...

Bro, Those document are public and provided by... CIG.
Of course you forget to mention that investors Calders did invested back in 2019/2020 an amount of 65M$. Those guys plus others investors since Kickstarter dividend of 1M£ after many years which does not even cover inflation for a couple years.... A true drama lol

None of those 1M£ have been paid by backers... Investors paid themselves with their own cash :)

This game is the fusion energy of gaming, always will be "just a few years away" in fact fusion energy will probably actually be here before this.

Perhaps they don't, at least at the present time. Although with the legion of "hater's" you have around the web, it must keep you really busy trying to shout them down.
I don't even try to shoot them down but provide facts and numbers. There is no legion of haters, only a hundred of dedicated guys making 90% of comments. A legion was made in roman empire of 6500 men. In short, SC is made of +153 legions while haters are a Century (one hundred men) :)

WTF does how many men were in a Roman legion have to do with the topic?
Like you say, "you throw out all these numbers". Apparently bullsh!t doesn't require the use of the English alphabet.

I don't care what I want is to be left alone and not harassed. If not next step will be in court and dealing with lawyers.

Man, that's a reach, to apply it to gaming, if I ever saw one. Unfortunately, this is not an ideal world.

So when did the alarm bells start to ring in your head - that is - when did you start to think that you were not getting what was promised?

And the better question - did you "invest" more after that?
