Store PS2 data to USB flash drive

I would like to be able to transfer some of my PS2 game data to a USB flash drive. Apparently, it's not just a simple operation. I plugged the USB flash drive into my PS2, but my PS2 didn't see it. Can someone help get me started? Thanks.

Hey man I wish I could too! My memory card is filled up and I don't head back to work for more than 2 months and I just got 5 new games!!!!

You can do it with the Action Replay disc. I'm not sure whether there's anyu other way but I suspect there is.
