Stupid BSOD

Am randomly getting shutdown when surfing web. I'd guess every 4-5 surfing hours i encounter the BSOD. Have run Kaspersky and found nothing.

STOP : 0x000000D1 (0x00000000, 0x00000002, 0x00000008, 0x00000000)

It won't let me attach dmp files..... when i go to manage attachments the icon next to 'dmp' in attachment key is a red cross. When i click browse/c:/windows/minidump then try to select a file i get the following:

'Mini091608-01.dmp
You don't have permission to open this file.

Contact the file owner or an administrator to obtain permission.'

I'm currently logged in as me (owner/admin)

Any help appreciated

You are the second person this week to have posted this problem with Vista.

To take ownership of a file/folder:

1. Right-click the file/folder that you want to take ownership of, and
then click Properties.
2. Click the Security tab, click Advanced, and then click the Owner tab.
3. Click Edit. Administrator permission required If you are prompted for
an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide
confirmation.
4. Click the name of the person you want to give ownership to.
5. If you want that person to be the owner of files and subfolders in
this folder, select the Replace owner on subcontainers and objects check
box.
6. Click OK

* 0xD1 errors are due to either faulty drivers or buggy software.

Hope these have uploaded ok.... had to actually add me as a user to get them uploaded... bit strange.
Anyways, here they are. Hope it helps.

Regards

edit..... these are the last 4 files in 1 folder. Do you need them separate?

Sorry, I would have responded sooner but I was having fits with my utility that opens Zip files.

Anyway, from what I can gather every one of your errors that i read are 0xD1. The driver cited is tdx.sys which is a core Vista driver. From what I can gather it is part of the Network Device and Protocol functions. When it is a core driver this isn't much help because it is too general.

However...

In the mix is the driver klim6.sys belonging to security and file info and it is aKaspersky Lab Intermediate Network Driver for Kaspersky Anti-Virus. The minidumps said it failed to initialize/load. Notice it is another network driver.

If you goolle klim6.sys you will find quite a bit concerning this Kaspersky driver and the BSODs resulting when using Vista. There is a definite conflict between tdx.sys and klim6.sys. A thread I read from 2007 said that the only way the poster could download was to turn off KAV and re-enable it again when finished.

This is a Kaspersky issue. Check out their forums and contact their tech supprt. Tell them your minidumps were read and the two drivers that consistently came up.
