Even in the cut-throat world of the tech industry, there are those rare incidents that can make you smile. One example is that of Chloe Bridgewater, a seven-year-old girl from Hereford, England, who wrote a letter to Google asking for a job and received a reply from CEO Sundar Pichai.

After asking her Dad, Andy Bridgewater, if there were anywhere else he would like to work, the refrigerator parts manager talked about Google. "I said Google would be cool and she asked why. So I showed her the pictures of their offices and the cool things they do."

The slides, games, beanbags and other cool stuff appealed to Chloe, leading to her composing the handwritten application with a little help from her Dad. Addressing it to “Dear Google boss,” she expressed her interest in computers, tablets, and robots while admitting that she’d also like to work in a chocolate factory and be an Olympic swimmer.

Much to the amazement of the first-grade student and her dad, the Google boss himself replied. Sundar Pichai sent a response, which Andy posted on his LinkedIn page. “Thank you so much for your letter,” the CEO wrote. “I think if you keep working hard and following your dreams, you can accomplish everything you set your mind to – from working at Google to swimming in the Olympics. I look forward to receiving your job application when you are finished school :)”

The reply has been a huge confidence boost for Chloe, who Andy says was “knocked down” by a taxi a few years ago. She says the media attention has made her even more determined to fulfill her dream and join Google.

A touching story. I sincerely hope Chloe fulfils all of her dreams and ambitions. It was also very nice of the boss man to respond himself, or at least sign the response letter. I'm actually surprised her letter never got lost somewhere in the system and got chucked away.

Anytime I wrote to them about a job, I got nothing. XD
You're not a cute 7 year old that can give Google good PR. At least I don't think you are.

Yea, with all the bs between Trump, and the tech industry I'm surprised he didn't give her a job, being foreign and a child. She would want the job, good publicity for Google, finger to Trump. If I were Sundar I would have given her a job just to troll.

Fail. That's not even funny.
Oh look people, we`have a new baby theater critic in the house.
Do you feel important now that you've made your comment?
Did you have to stop playing your X-Box to post that?
Did you actually have something regarding the topic to share with us?

Where is "Lodos", by the way? Is it some magical cyberland where you're king?

Aren't you going to list your system specs, to give you forum cred?

You're 36, really? I would have guessed less than half that. Like you fail dude, really? Do you get a lot of women talking like a "Valley Girl"?

Do you have a comedy workshop where I might strive to learn to be funny?

Oh dammit it, I've just discovered I can be not funny all day. Point taken...:p
