Pre compiled shaders would've saved them.
The second they decided to use UE4 they should've decided on pre compiled shaders.
100% the fault of the dev team.

This merry-go-round has been going on for years. People need to stop preordering games. It's the primary enabler of this kind of behaviour by publishers. Reviewers also need to get their act together, if they give the publisher a pass on these issues, they're not siding with the consumer.

TBH, consumers are free to do their own research and find reviewers that are reliable and have similar taste and standards when it comes to gaming.
I know it is often difficult when you are bombarded by ads on pretty much every social platform claiming something like Stranger Things or Wednesday are watchable ... Still up to you, to filter the tosh.

It's very difficult to do your own research if the majority of your sources are promoted, influenced or poor. That's precisely the point.

Unrealistic or unreasonable? Are you suddenly sympathetic to the plight of the paid workers, m3tavison? Not like you :D

Executives know nothing about games, or making games... they should not make timelines or release dates. They should trust the Development team.

Otherwise, why build a game..?

Absolutely. It's kind of like how Elon Musk knows nothing about social media. These people ought to trust their teams :D
Hunh..?
Twitter didn't produce a product, or have release dates or sell anything. Oddly, now that elon took over, Twitter will actually be a product worth subscribing to..

Obviously, Twitter employees were not skilled employees, they were just thousands of SJW who did content moderation on people they personally didn't like. Many of them never had jobs before... coder actually make something.

I agree. That's why I generally don't pre-order. The only game that I ever pre-ordered was Ace Combat 7 because I knew that I was buying it no matter what and I got free goodies for pre-ordering. The difference was that I had already played Ace Combat 4, Ace Combat 5, Ace Combat 0 and Ace Combat 6 previously. This wasn't a new game franchise.
