This copy of Windows is not genuine

Hi

My sons pc has a non genuine windows xp pro operating system. I want to make this a genuine windows one. How do I go about it? Do I have to format the PC and install a genuine copy of xp or can I register it by buying a registration key?

The best way is to buy a legit Windows disk, then reformat and reinstall from scratch.
