I google the problem it said to touch FN & f6 or f7 to fix it, did so but still no fix. Finally decided to reset it to factory, it got to 100% & showed it was rebooting to reinstall OS. Screen went black & has been that way for TOOO long. Any way to see if it died or ?? Acer laptop about 4 years old worked fine with wired mouse, now don't even boot up
Ok, after the screen went black, I pressed the power on button to see if there was a sign of life, nothing. I then lowered the lid to turn it off, left it down a few minutes & lifted it back up, pressed power button & still nothing. I finally gave it up for being dead & went to bed. About 5 hours later I woke up to see life on the screen. I went thru the set up process, got it online & got the MS updates started & back to bed. I had to use a magnifying glass to see which key was the correct one to use with the FN key, my touchpad works again
