I got this VR game system called Trimersion not too long ago. I saw it at E3 a while back and decided to get one when they went on sale. Its for first person shooters. I've never seen them in stores but I bought one from their website. It works on my PC Ps2 and xbox no programming or anything.
Mostly I play UT2004 with it, but my other games play pretty well also.
I was kind of skeptical at first and afraid I would get buyers remorse.
But I have to give it a thumbs up.
Solid Construction, Nice Picture and Sound. These guys are obviously gamers it's really well thought out. Though it is kind of big, it's not heavy. But man it blocks everything out. I wouldn't recamend playing standing up.
And the head tracked targetting is awsome. I was really supprised at how accurate it is, even on long shots. It took a little getting used to but after a few minutes I got it dialed right in. I always wondered what happened to Virtual Reality Games. I kind of gave up after Virtual Boy and the Power Glove.
What do you think.
Will VR ever become a recognized game platform? (For lack of a better term)
Do you think VR game controllers give the players an advantage over regular game pads?
Check it out.
