Trouble with sound

I seem to have messed up the sound player, trying to remove spyware I deleted all cookies but I think that I also deleted some other files. Now itunes and limewire play everything with skips in the sound.....Please help

Before you try anything else I would use System Restore.

What version of windows?
What tool did you use for spyware removal?
Some have a roll back feature to un-do
any changes made by thier programs.

Otherwise I agree with spartanslayer.

If both fail to fix it, consider a repair install of windows
