TV Recording - MPEG Settings

I just aquired a friends modded-out ATI 9700 PRO 128 All-in-Wonder card.

It is AWESOME...!

Regardless, I am experiencing some frustration with MPEG recording settings.

QUESTION:
What setting would be able to make a 30 minute video aprox. 175mb in size?

I am not sure but i doubt getting a 175 mb file in mpeg2/4 of 30 minutes of video without either degrading the quality or reducing the resolution.instead divx might be able to help you out with this try and see dr.divx and see what size you get for your file(download the trial version for dr.divx).

Or just use XviD for free..
