Upgrading Ram

At the moment i only have 256mb ram so I'm wanting to buy a little more. I'll probably just buy another 256mb stick. My current ram is 256mb DDR 333 cl2.5 infineon. Do i have to get the same type of ram and is there anything else i need to know about my ram? :grinthumb

I would to to the website of your motherboard's maker to check what the maximum amount of ram allowed is first. Many maker's also give you a list of compatible ram on their websites so look for that as well.

A second identical ram stick would be ideal, but most important is that you get the same speed and size of ram. In other words, be sure you get another stick of 256mb 333Mhz, (and ideally cl2.5) to match what you already have.
