With less than 30 hours or so remaining until the calendar rolls over to January, many have already mentally check out of 2016. Indeed, the New Year affords the opportunity to both reflect on this year’s highs and lows and start the next with a clean slate.

Part of welcoming the New Year for many involves setting – and attempting to stick with – a New Year’s resolution.

In 2017, I will continue a process I got serious about in February of this year – eliminating every last bit of consumer debt by following Dave Ramsey’s principles. My girlfriend and I cut our lifestyle way back this year and it’s been incredible to see how much progress we’ve made in just 11 months. By this time next year, we should be 100 percent debt free.

With this week’s open forum, we’d like to hear about your New Year’s resolution. What do you hope to accomplish in 2017? Do you typically see a goal through completion? Let us know in the comments section below!

I will spend more time playing games and less time napping ..... that way my fingers get LOTS of exercise and I will drool less on my shirts!

To get fat... I mean fatter, in the hope that I will fail my new years resolution and actually get slimmer and in shape...

But I will take note of other peoples ideas and maybe pick one, like upgrading parts to enjoy my gaming life a bit more ... I mashed 3 ideas up in 1 there... but I don't think I can incorporate more sex into this plan now. Damnit.

To ride 2.000 km on my bicycle (this year I reached 1.100 km after having not rode a bicycle in 16 years)

Not to troll my favourite site too much (Techspot naturally)
Don't hold your breaths though. Happy new to you all. May all your dreams and wishes come true.

P.S. To all my Yankee brethren (All North Americans, irrespective of state)... Don't fret about Trump too much, things will be just fine.
Blessings to you all, especially to our respected scribes and authors who work so damn hard.
Much appreciated.

4K (2160p). We got a 4K TV on Black Friday, so that's now the highest resolution device I have, superseding the 1600x2560 of the Galaxy Tab S 8.4. All devices connected to it still support only 1080p, unfortunately. I've been wanting to buy a Bristol Ridge APU for a while now, but AMD just hasn't released them to the DIY crowd. Won't be a 4K gaming beast, but should work for 4K videos and I know I'll test it with some casual games just to see if it works (which is possible, given that the HTPC is currently running some games at 1080p on a Radeon 5550 DDR3).

Each year it's the same, Do more of the good things and less of the bad things. End the year better than I start in all the aspects that matter. It's worked well for the last 5 years so lets see how 2017 goes :)
