Which laptop?

Hello All,
My sun is going to attend to collage this year-and I am looking to buy him a laptop for his collage years, I asked him what he will be using the laptop for? here is the list he gave me; watch hulu, listen to music, watch U-tube, get into face book, wireless internet, wireless blue tooth, blue ray for movies, web came, skype, itunes, limewire,1 or 2 games playing on the computer, also last but least word, and power point!!
my budget is between $800 - $1000.00
Can anyone suggest a lap top

Are you in the USA? Do you have access to QVC or HSN? Then wait for their electronic shows and buy your laptop from either one. ACER are good and Gateway offers the B-Ray.Prices are $699.99 and you get $139 flex payments. Sometimes free shipping.

So if you buy online from HSN, No tax, free shipping (has to be a special deal) and only pay $139 for the first month they still send you the laptop and plus no interest at all. 5 to 6 months to pay it up. 30 days money back on top of the deal. Do you know which games? Many laptops don't have the GPU power to play modern games at high resolutions or with good detail settings.
