Will my graphics card handle Half Life 2?

Okay, I want to buy half life 2... but I first want to know if my graphics card will even be able to handle it: Sapphire Atlantis Radeon 9600 Pro Fireblade special edition. I'm not much of an expert with this stuff, but I read that it takes high end cards for newer games like that, so, will I be able to run it??

By the way, I want to run at LEAST 1024x768... is that possible?

To point: I'm not interested in advice on upgrading my card. I realise that I can buy a better card (and I will in future just not right now). I just want to know if the card will be okay before I spend the money on the game.

hl2 and gfx card

IM guessing that your card is better than mine,

I bought a AMD sempon 2200+ with 256MB RAM, using 32 as sys gfx,
It couldnt play HL2/CSS, so i went out and bought 256mb more ram ($50AUD) and a sapphire radeon 9250 128mb GFX, now i can play CSS easily.

I also found a glitch with the game that allows you to have 2 of the same accounts on a server :giddy: .

AMD sempron 2200+ (1.5Ghz)
512Mb RAM
128mb radeon 9250
2x20 Gb HDD

it can play not bad., if your interested the WHOLE system cost me about $450 AUD.

Also you might want to hear about my 733Mhz,192Mb RAM and 16Mb GFX, i make maps, it can play on my LAN. just out of interest.

Anyway, it might help to hear about your other system specs, but im guessing you can prolly play the game. 1024x768 or whatever, is a big ask if your looking for high FPS.

looks like that GFX card is much better than mine, it'll also help us if you tell us your sys. specs,

PS the only good thing about sapphire is that MAD sticked that says, fueled by sapphire, I LOVE IT its so COOL!!
