WordPerfect12; Windows 10 -

Working in a WP table, and regularly if I try to add/delete a row / rows, WP goes to [NOT RESPONDING| mode . . . and so then it out to TaskManager to EndTask and start all over in WP.

Any resolution for this frustrating fight between WP and WIN10?

Thank you, much appreciated.

You may not realise it but WordPerfect 12 was released 20 years ago. Windows 10 is coming to an end support wise. I've only used Microsoft Word on a PC but it seems to roll on without issues. Think about using the Microsoft Office suite or find a recent release of WordPerfect to download.

Thank you for your reply.

I did "think about using the Microsoft Office suite" a long time ago, and when I tested it I quickly found that it is entirely lacking in the flexibility of Corel's WordPerfect: Mr. Gates's operating principle is "WE will tell you how to use our software product(s)"; WordPerfect's principle is "Here's the system; now use it to create however you want." Case in point? MS Word requires a person to entirely learn the program in order to be able to successfully use it; WordPerfect has a REVEAL CODES function that easily enables a user to see what the codes BEHIND the screen are, and do edits there -- rather than, as in MS Word, hunt around and hunt around and hunt around to determine where the codes are hiding. WordPerfect is completely intuitive, and, in fact, I learned it years ago and through each new update simply because I'm an intuitive person -- so it was a perfect fit for me.

MS Word? No thanks. That's a complete waste of time.

Thank you though for the response. The best to you.

What is wrong with the idea of downloading and installing an up to date copy of WordPerfect? If you really want to use version 12 you'll have to find your own path. No use ranting about how much better Coral is than Microsoft. It is what it is.

Thank you for your response.

I'm well aware that I've been finding my own path my entire life, and WP12 is fully up-to-date in that it fully meets all of my needs.

FYI: I did not post a "ranting." If you believe someone posting a description of facts is doing so, then that is your error. Further, you are off base in believing you are free to make a personal criticism on a forum existing for technical discussions. That is what it is . . . to use your phrase.

There has been NINE newer versions of WordPerfect since WP12.

The current one is WP2021. It is outstanding, as usual.
