Windows vista won't boot

I keep getting wdfldr.sys is corrupt or missing. Laptop won't go into safe mode or anything. Tried repairing throught vista re cd and won't repair problem

It is for Windows 7 but it may work for Vista too. This could be a good time for you to upgrade to Windows 7
