Windows won't start even in safe mode, from a Google search it seems like an Avast update?

Hi all

I found this forum from searching for my issue via Google linked here https://www.techspot.com/community/topics/windows-7-wont-boot-even-in-safe-mode-aswrvrt-sys.192382/

I have ran FRST64.exe and have the FRST.txt if that is any use?

I also tried uninstalling an update as per this link http://www.jenovarain.com/tag/hotfix/

Any help appreciated

Hi

In the end I installed Windows 7 Home Premium again, I attached the disk to a PC first and backed up all the data but Windows placed it in a .old directory anyway.

The laptop is now working fine I am pretty sure it was an Avast update as that's the only thing that has changed in the last week or so.

I know its not really an answer but it was the quickest solution for me.
