I have a core 2 duo e6600 that i plan to overclock some by raising the fsb to hopefully 333mhz. I know the zalman 9700 is a lot better, but its also a lot more expensive. Considering that the case has excellent ventilation (thermaltake armor w/ 25cm side fan) will the freezer 7 be sufficient?

Remember most of those heatsink tests you read will have been performed outside a case or inside a case with a side off. If you really want to overclock and have cooler temps then I'd go for the Zalman and damn the cost.

I ran an E6600 at 9x385 for 3.47 gHz on an Arctic 7, the temps were usually in the high 50's to low 60's under full load.
Unless you have very high ambients where you are, then I think it's fine.
