A new drive from ASUS that can do a fast 8x DVD+R Dual Layer burn is available, featuring a new technology called "FlextraLink" that will halt a burn if the buffer is low during writing. Not too different from other burners, it's still an interesting bit of tech. Internally, it also has a suspension system to reduce vibration inside and outside the device, something anyone that's heard a disc spinning up to 40x would appreciate.
