Gamedaily.com has some details on the forthcoming PS3 to share with us. PlayStation aficionados will want to read the whole article, but some of the main points are as follows:

-The official release date from Sony is "Spring 2006", but this is looking unlikely. Some time later this year is a much safe bet.
-It's a multimedia hub that will be able to read all sorts of media, including SD Cards, CDs, DVDs, Blu-Ray Discs, all of your old PlayStation and PlayStation 2 games, etc.
-Expect the PlayStation 3 to retail for at least $400, or perhaps even $500.
-Some titles that should be out within the launch window include Genji 2, Angel Rings (a new RPG), Monster Carnival (an Action RPG), Everybody's Golf 2 and The Eye of Judgment.
-Should have a controller that looks very similar to the standard PlayStation controller, with a remote control sold separately at launch.
