Matrox isn't a brand enthusiasts identify with, usually. They target pretty much only high end workstations, and they haven't updated their existing lines in four years. It's a long time in coming, then, that Matrox announces the development of a new 90nm process GPU. While not revealed yet, it's likely that the new GPU from Matrox will be geared for Windows Vista. A company named Mosaid Memorize is providing Matrox with some of the technology behind it, that will allow them to produce a card capable of a 1066MHz data rate. Like most Matrox products, I'd be surprised if this showed up in any game station or desktop computer. More likely, it will also be aimed at workstations.
