The BlackBerry Storm has been available just for a few months but word of its replacement is already starting to circulate. Citing unnamed inside sources, SlashGear claims the Storm 2 will include Wi-Fi connectivity to complement the 3G it already offers and should hit the market around September - which would mean a less than a one-year run for the original BlackBerry Storm.

There were not too many other details revealed, but a separate report by Boy Genius adds that two of its independent sources have confirmed that a new screen will come with the next Storm in order to make typing easier, one of the main complaints with the original device, and might also include a 5-megapixel camera. None of this has been confirmed by RIM, of course, so we'll just have to wait and see how the rumors pan out.
