Benchmarks: Company of Heroes

Testing Company of Heroes at 1440x900 revealed the GeForce GTX 280 to be the fastest card in this game, followed by a pair of GeForce 9800 GTX+ graphics cards in SLI mode. The Diamond Radeon HD 4870 X2 was the third fastest card, beating the Radeon HD 4870 X2 Crossfire setup.

Increasing the resolution to 1680x1050 allows the 4870 X2 to overtake both spots and becoming the fastest tested graphics card.

In fact now the Radeon HD 4870 X2 holds a reasonably large performance margin over the GeForce GTX 280.

At 1920x1200 we are able to take full advantage of the dual-GPU Radeon HD 4870 X2 as it is 23% faster than the GeForce GTX 280. The Radeon X2 card is 3 fps faster on average than a pair of Radeon HD 4870 cards in Crossfire mode, which was also nice to see.
