Benchmarks: F.E.A.R

F.E.A.R gives the lead to the Radeon HD 4870 X2 and the GeForce 9800 GX2 at 1440x900 resolution.

At 1680x1050 the Radeon HD 4870 X2 pulls ahead, while defeating the GeForce GTX 280 by a 20% performance margin. The Radeon HD 4870 X2 was also 43% faster than a single Radeon HD 4870 graphics card.

Increasing the resolution to 1920x1200 in F.E.A.R further increased the lead of the Radeon HD 4870 X2 over the pack. Now 29% faster than the GeForce GTX 280, the Radeon HD 4870 X2 was the fastest single graphics card tested managing to maintain an average frame rate of 154fps at 1920x1200.
