Benchmarks: Far Cry, F.E.A.R
Again we find that it is not until FSAA 4x + Aniso 16x quality settings are enabled that SLI shows any real performance benefits. The SLI 7600GS cards are able to hang with the overclocked 7600GT, but we obviously would like to see more. Thankfully, we got more when moving to a resolution of 1600x1200, here the SLI 7600GS cards were 15% faster or 28% faster in overclocked form.
Clearly the newer more advanced computer games such as F.E.A.R make better use of the SLI 7600GS cards. Using average in-game quality settings with no AA or AF quality settings enabled the SLI 7600GS cards were 19% faster than the single overclocked 7600GT. Overclocking the SLI cards again boosted this performance lead to 28%.
