Need Help With Ip Address

Everytime i try to log onto to Xbox Live, my IP address fails..ive tried manually entering it and that doesnt work. I've called xbox support and they said i need to fix something with my IP address and told me to call my ISP (verizon). ive called numerous times now and i never get a free agent. I thought maybe some people at techspot could help me out?!?!

keep trying. thats the best. they will go through a list of things that someone here might not think of, or we might take 3 or 4 days to get to. most isps have dynamic ips that change constantly. so even if entering ur ip manially works one time, doesnt meen it will work the next time.

the classical way to connect is

isp ... modem---router---system and/or xbox

Your router should have DHCP enabled and
all your systems should too.

Manually entering the IP config is not easily performed correctly
