2 GTs or 1 GTX ???

  1. Just wondering: What's better? one 7900GTX or 2 7900GTs?

    I'm asking this, because I was unable to find a test for this. I found one at Anandtech w/ the 7800s and the 2 GT won. But what about the 7900s?

    Alright, let's be more fair and compare one 7900GTX 512 vs. 2 7800GTs (SLI). Place your bets!

    Two SLi GPU s on the system give great perfomrance , we have tested this, best experiience during gaming, the 2 cards share the load better ,

    I'm talking really explicit here, not general stuff: 2 7800GTs in SLi vs. 1 7900GTX (shall we say BFG or ASUS)
    I'm thinking of getting a system based on this sort of GPU setup.
    Plus I want to know what's more $$$ and Power efficient:
    2 BFG 7800GTs -> 2x300=600$
    1 BFG 7900GTX -> 550$

    Two 7800GT cards will outperform a single 7900GTX in just about everyway.

    There are the obvious drawbacks however, i.e., you need a more powerful PSU, you will have two GPUs making more heat in your system.

    Here are some benchmarks for you:
