According to CPU-Z my 1gig stick of DDR 2 667 is running at 333mhz although in the bios it says its running at 667mhz. What the hell is going on here ?, also my clock multiplier on my processor is jumping from x6 to x12 and back.

I know that there's power saving stuff built in to these things but ide just love to know if this is normal ?, especially the ram because it basically says 333mhz is top speed, but i can't believe that surely ?

P.S. My system specs are in the corner.....Thanks

DDR stands for Double Data Rate. So you'll multiply the figure in CPU-Z by 2 to get the actual speed.

Sorry.....I'd Like to Help But....,.....

Am I Reading This Right?
I can't read, I used to work for the post office.

Although, after giving some considerable thought to your question, I've come to the conclusion that you can't read "333" backwards.

BTW, listen to Ritwik7, he's gotta be right, he's a Guru....:)

@CC
It is better to be a Guru, instead of being an 'Maniac', I always thought when I had that title, "I should beat anyone or everyone who may even hint at questioning my words to justify it". :grinthumb

Double data rate..Jeez i already knew that as well, i am a turnip sometimes ! lol.

Cheers anyway guys, i can rest easy now.
