Blue Screen of Death but no way to load antimalware

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi

My Dell Inspiron is infected with a virus (I suspect a trojan horse) and I have the blue screen of death. I know I need to download antimalware - preferably Malware Bytes - however, I can't log on at all to do this and my disc drive is broken so I can't reinstall Windows etc.

Any ideas on what to do other than taking it to a repair shop?

I've posted this in 3 forums because I'm getting desperate!

First I would go and get a new CD/DVD drive. You will need this to boot from the windows disc to repair the system. If it will go into Safe Mode then there are alternative methods. Or, if you have a USB Flash drive there is anti virus boot media that may help with the Malware. Get a new CD/DVD drive and the job will be a lot easier.

Can you get into the Bios?

You need to state what version of windows you are using.
