Can I get it higher then 5.9 in WEI?

    as u can see in my picture my whole pc is rated in the 7.4 to 7.5 mark i was wondering if any one can tell me what kind of performance a ssd drive give under windows 7 as i want to make my hard performance better ? link to info or picture will do fine

    Sure you can get higher, I think that's the easy answer.

    Will a ssd do it? More than likely.

    Even my 64GB C300 scores 7.9

    Try the Crucial M4's or Mushkin Chronos drives if you don't want to pay a lot.

    I am pretty sure that no matter how fast your mechanical drive is, the highest WEI will allow it to be scored is 5.9. You must use SSD to score higher.

    lol i know the score is cap without a ssd after huntting around i got a OCZ Vertex Plus 60gig ssd for about $139.95 NZ dollars i will re post a picture score when i have it installed with my windows 7 pro 64bit

    Ok. It just wasn't clear from your post or the replies that anyone understood the 5.9 was the max for a mechanical. If I missed that somewhere then I apologize.
