  1. Hey guys,

I was just wondering if xp home supported dual core processors. I know it doesnt support two seperate processors, but it isnt clear whether or not it supports a dual core one. Ive looked around google for an answer and it seems no one can agree! Be great if someone knew the answer. Thanks.

I am told that only 64bit versions of XP will handle dual-core or the core2duo processors. Not that it wont run, but just wont operate the second core.
--This is only told to me, and I haven't had first hand experience, but I believe it to be accurate...

Windows XP Home supports dual-core CPUs. Both cores will be recognised & work well.
