Dragon Age Origins XFX GTS 250 problem

Well like the tittle suggest i have graphics problems whit Dragon age, pictures can explain better. (Just add the "http" first, i came for help here so im new and i cant post links sorry for the inconvenience )

In this one notice the depth of field missing part near the plant little tree and near the Playable Character up left corner, it also happens near the edges of people with long hair (like morrigan), also if you look closely you notice like the depth of field is like pixelated its this normal?

In this look the blocky shadow, maybe it cant be appreciated well but in game it also tends to be very jumpy and the "blocky" thing can be more appreciated in motion.

If anything, that's poor coding from the game mixed with a lack of streamlined drivers. I can't really imagine there's anything you can do about it except updating your graphics drivers to the newest revision possible. Or rolling back to ones that worked once before if there were any.

Personally, I think you're just being a little nit-picky. The problems you're listing are fine details that would normally go overlooked by many other players and are negligible during gameplay. I'm not judging you or anything, but if I were playing DAO (and I do), I wouldn't notice. I don't think these little graphical inconsistencies are what anyone could consider "problems" as you define them. It's definitely not your card. As a matter of fact, I'd say that they're some things that maybe Bioware or EA didn't streamline before the release. Or perhaps it's just a small glitch that doesn't show up in other scenery.

All I can say is that if it bothers you enough, you can try what I suggested. Outside of that though, there's practically nothing you can do unless you feel like hacking it for the source code and tweaking it yourself.
 
Thanks i don't really mind, i just kinda was afraid that my video card was getting "broken", I enjoy very much this game, just was a little worried, but you are right it doesn't affect in nothing the game play. Thank you very much.
 
Nah it's alright. It takes a LOT more than that to break a graphics card. Usually cards only break because 1) they were used too roughly (i.e. overclocked), 2) they were used for too long and died of old age, or 3) there was some incredible software or hardware failure or some kind.

In any case, I could understand you being worried. But in this sort of a case, just blame the developers, heheh. It's not the first time little inconsistencies like this have popped up in games that were published by EA. It may have been written by Bioware, but EA likes to do some stupid extra crap to the games they publish I think. And that tends to cause problems. A good example is Crysis. Pretty good game, good German company, decent coding....and then EA got their filthy hands on it. Enough said.
