if the game is too choppy to play, lower your anti-aliasing,resolution, lighting, and texture settings. it may take a bit of playing around with, but you'll be able to find a median between performance and eye candy. you might have to turn of anti-aliasing and.or antroscopic filtering.

Your first post was at 4:21 this post I'm quoting was at 4:28. If you are that impatient perhaps you shouldn't be on internet forums.

I'm also merging all 3 of your posts.

i play fear on my moms laptop because it has a really good graphics card and it works like a charm with 110 as my maximum fps. i dont know the screen resolution. ill have to check again.

New System

Here is my new test results at MAX settings 1024x768 I think.....I will try it at 1680x1050 later on. I just installed and I need to get the update to run at that res I think cause it onky gives me 1600x1200 and my monitor wigs out at that res.

I am pretty satisfied with the results...

New System Specs... (Some stuff left over from my old system Really the only thing new is the CPU, MOBO and MEM.)

Same Audigy 2

Same Silverstone 650w PSU

Same Lian-Li PC65B Case

way to make me feel good...i'm still using a machine i built in '03! ;)

sounds like a nice rig. are you going to overclock? are you using the stock cpu cooler?

Thanks

Yeah its a huge difference between the x2 4200 I had previous.

Yeah I am using the stock cooler, wish I would not have thrown away the back plate for my 120mm zahlman cooler. (was cleaning my storage boxes one day and said "eh I dont need this intel backplate, im never going to get anything intel" and in the trash it went. Now Im stuck with the stock cooler- for now.....

Probably not going to overclock till I get a better cooler, but I heard people oc past 3.0ghz on the thing so maybe I will toy with it.

But for right now I am waiting on my new mobo, the ASUS I had must have took a poop yesterday, when I turned it on the system would start up then die after 2 seconds, start up die, start up, die.....Seemed like it wasnt getting enough power and I thought it was the PSU, got a new psu....doing the same thing. Finally i took everything off the board except for the CPU set it on my kitchen table, hooked up the PSU hit the switch....boom same thing. So I know its the board....Board or a bad CPU but im ruling out the bad CPU.

Anywho yeah its a great system and I think this is gonna be my last upgrade for atleast 2 years....
