Game suddenly freezes with weird colors!

Hello Guys,

I am having trouble with my graphic card(nvidia 9800gts) it was working fine few days ago but suddenly a problem arose.

When I start any game it opens smoothly everything works fine but after 1-2 mins it freezes with wierd colors all over the display.

I started Witcher 2 to show my error it appears like this



Scanned my computer via antivirus for malware but in vain.

I am really confused what is causing this to happen or my graphic card is no more.

I will be very thankful to you guys,

Using Cooler Master power supply 460W.

It might be overheating. Does the graphics card fan work and come up to full speed?

is your graphic card driver uptodate? if not then that might be your problem

Try playing at a lower resolution compared to your current settings.

try these..

Download GPU-Z and monitor the max temp of your graphics card. It may be overheating
Check for newer drivers
see if your card is running out of memory pool
also, check in the settings file and see if you are running the game on DX11. My computer set the game to DX11 for some reason when I only have a DX10 card.
