This guys tutorials are usually well written and easy to understand:

"plastic cuff things"... do you mean the plastic fasteners that hold the cables in a bundle? Yes, you can snip that off if you need to. They are just to keep your wiring clean looking and out of the way.

yah thats exactly what i meant. Well I guess we'll see. If not I'll have to grow some balls and tell my dad I also need a new PSU lol.

did you get taht powersupply from an OEM system? HP/Compaq? I used to have one thats 250Watt. and it ram couple Disk drives, 2 fans with lights, HDD, video card and floppy and a P4 2.4ghz HT. did fine for a few years. actually, it jus recently start to give out. Id say you'll do fine 80% guaranteed =P

also, as donnagual has mentioned, its not always about the watts. the most important are 12V rail, 5V and 3V (respectively) and how many amps they can handle and the quality of the PSU of course. stay away from cheap PSUs. sometimes price catches ppl off guard and they end up with a PSU that blows and/or dies n leaves them confused

Yeah the PSU came with the system. And it is so wierd cuz I see all these people complaining about problems and I look at their specs(some are very nice!) and I think"man its wierd cuz ive had this eMachine for three years and I have never had ONE problem with it" maybe my time has come.

Ok what if this card dont work? I know I will need to get a new PSU but what should I get? I have an eMachine T3256 and I don't know what PSUs are compatible with it.

doesnt work as in ur PSU cannot handle it? then this one would be a quick, cost-effective and reliable solution: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817104953

shoulda used credit card =P it makes verifying a lot easier and faster for newegg. they would usually process ur order right away and then ship it the next day or even the same day >=P

gues ur gonna have to wait hehehehhehe

Yah my dad is so paranoid with putting his credit card number on the internet I cant convince him anything.

    Did someone say... paranoid? :haha:
I'd be careful where I put credit card information but on a site like newegg, you're safe. But I'd do a spyware scan before I sent the information, because spybot says some spyware can record stuff like that  In general, credit cards DO make a diffference to speed though. Sorry to say.

Hey EVERYONE! Hey I got my graphics card, installed it, and the comp catched a blaze. Im using my friends comp right now. HAHAHAHA just kidding. It works excellent and doesn't even make a noise. HL2 looks excellent but I have a question. Why do my water textures flash lines everyonce in a while? Oh and some words on the game are slurred and thick where I cant read them. J/W IM so happy!!!
