Gmail questions

No plugins needed, only JavaScript, as far as I know.
 
Hi Mikael,

Sent you a PM for a gmail account, thanks to anyone who can provide one, lost my original at yahoo's junk mail filter.

Will also share my invites here once I get logged on.

Your the man, I really appreciate the gmail account and if I can ever help you out feel free to ask. As I said in an earlier post I will also give out all available gmail accounts to other members here once they give them to me. Thanks again for sharing!! :)

It seems that most people start off with six automatic invites from Gmail. I have talked to a few people that have claimed they never received the first six. :eek: From there on, I believe it is a random selection of who gets another six.
 
I've received around 36 invites at this stage. Then again I've shifted around 800 mails (non-spam) in the few weeks I've had it, so maybe it is mails related...

Sorry that I'm a bit late on this thread, but if anyone needs a invite to Gmail, let me know...got 6 now, and they keep giving me more as fast as I can give them out!!!:D :eek:
 
Seems to me that they keep track of how many you send out and at what rate you do this at....So, the more you send out invites, the more invites they send you...so you can send out more invites.....you get the idea...lol... :D
 
I Would like an account on gmail too.
I dont know if Im too late for this request, but if there is anyone who would like to invite me, I will be forever in debt ;)

Ok, I've got my account setup, but when I try to check it on my mac os x 10.1 with internet explorer 5 it says ActiveX isn't installed or turned on. I was wondering for one, if anyone has accessed gmail froma mac, and secondly how do you enable ActiveX on a mac so I can have a chance to access it.
 
MacOS IE hasn't got ActiveX. However, GMail does not need ActiveX. I'm using it in a clearly ActiveX-less Mozilla on BeOS

Obtain either Mozilla, Firefox, Camino, OmniWeb or Safari for the Mac. They will all work. MacIE is a joke, doesn't even have PNG support...

Microsoft calls ActiveX what others call JavaScript. ActiveX just has some additional MS-specific "features".
