Well, looks like the well is overflowing with gmail invites again. I just got four and my wife got TEN, so if anybody wants one, PM me and I'll send you one, or two, or three, or however many you want.

    gmail invites

I have a limited number of invites available to give away. If you are interested I need a valid email address to send the invitation. As of December 24 at 7:30am my last count I have 10 invites to pass out.

Invitations do expire so please don't request one if you are not going to use it.

Just thought I'd bump this thread again. I just got 50 invites to give away, so if there is anybody in the world that doesn't have Gmail, and wants it, PM me and you've got it.

I also have 50 Gmail invites, so feel free to PM me with your name and e-mail address. :)

    Gmail?

What is exactly gmail and what's so great about it? Will it be like hotmail?
  15. olefarte TechSpot Ambassador Posts: 1,425

I guess the best thing about it, is you get 1000 MB of storage, for free. And larger email sizes.

    nice

sounds nice. Can you send bigger attachments too?

Well, I don't know anything about Hotmail, never used it, but here are some things I find nice about Gmail:

    - Replies and sent messages with same subject are grouped into one thread, easy to navigate

    - Shows preview of the mail (about 100 first characters) without having to open it

    - Same kind of search for e-mail contents like normal Google for web

The maximum attachment size is 10 megabytes, but that's including encoding, so with already compressed files it's smaller.

There's also auto-complete in the "compose mail" area ( a feature Yahoo! has quickly copied ).

i have 12 gmail accounts still available if someone want's one they would have to have something to trade for it that would be very valauble for my need's if you're interested leave me a line :grinthumb

...Or they could have one of my remaining 50 invites for free.

Gmail accounts are REALLY not worth much anymore.
