OK, I'll try it out. By the way, could it be the problem with my RAM? During the struggling process in the past hour, I once tried to enable all BUT symantec services (coz I was a little bit concerned about it). As a result, I wasn't able to access the internet, yet it still took me about 3~4 mins to get started. Is it possible that part of my RAM is corrupted?

    It's hard to say.
We've been doing some extra work here, because basically, this is malware forum, so if my last advice about Norton won't help, you'll have to start another topic at Windows forum.
I simply don't want to mix too many subjects into this forum.

Seems that I was just over concerned: after removing symantec, everything is back on track. Thank you so much, Broni! It's really great to have a pro like you to help out.

Now I am going to install the AV tools you recommended. I will report later after some trials.
