Dajonsworld, you really know how to generate support for your problem.
You do, after all, have the computer with the highest difficulty of repair, and now you wnat free help, when people spent weeks learning how to fix it and deserve reward for their time. Since you "...know some one can help ....probably not on this site anymore..." then you should go there. Please do not return until you have it fixed, then offer what you have learned for free.
 
inspiron E1505 bios password

Hello. I am having a problem getting past the bios password on my laptop. I just bought it off ebay and its locked out, Service Tag #3TWLLC1-595B . Express service tag code 8338621249. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!
 
I'd say only dumbs, thiefs or those who bought from a thief buy a password from a third party service. the good guys call dell and get their passwords legally for less or even for free.

Hello Everyone,

I just want to, first of all, thank everyone for this site. It seems that there are alot of people in the same predicament as me. Here goes: I have a Dell Latitude 131L and I aquired it through my brother as one of his 8 kids put a password in the BIOS as well as the HDD. If anyone can help I would be very appreciative and I understand that there are no guarantees. The information is as follows:

Dell Latitude 131L
Service Tag: FFTJZC1
Express Service Code: 33608368801
BIOS Revision: 2.3.0
BIOS System Disabled Code: 09258
HDD: Toshiba MK6034GSX SATA
HDD Master ID: 15438411

I forgot to mention that I have tried to take out the CMOS battery for 24hrs and this did not work. I also downloaded the latitude.exe and input my Service tag and came up with S66UUKJU for a master password and this did not work. Thanks again.
 
By Service Tag, this is one of the fixable ones... and since it is family, hopefully your brother registered it with Dell or bought it from Dell.
Contact Dell Support with the Service Tag, and print out the original Invoice, then use that to call Dell and arrange for it to be repaired... They give you a place to send it. You pay an outrageous fee of $90 to $135... Better than somebody screwing with it, then damage that Dell will not fix.

Dell Latitude 131L

I wish it was that easy . . . my brother passed away not too long ago and I don't have any information as to his original receipts/invoice or the purchase information. Thanks for the advice anyways.
 
problem

hello every body.
I have a strange problem.
I have a friend who own a del d630 password loked. After read tons of material that say it canot be unloked i diasembled to take a look inside. I noted all chips and i put back al pieces (reasemble). But now the laptop do not starting. Only a few leds blink but nothing on display. i repet , i do not worked on the laptop, only visual inspection and operation for dissasemble , reasemble & a bios reset (i have taked out the batery and short circuited pins batery).
Any ideas ?
Is any security reason from dell for whoo try to reset cmos ?
I need your help if you have any ideas, sugestion or knowledge.

Assuming you are telling the truth, and assuming you and your brother have the same last name, and you know the address he used at the probable time of delivery, go to the Dell Support site, and change the registration of the computer to your address with his name (easiest) or change the name of ownership to you, using his address, then later change the address.
You can get a copy of the receipt and invoice from the Dell support site using the Service Tag on the computer.

I really dont understand what you are saying, is this program the master password for dell? you need help with your dell? whats up!

Dear Kimsland,

My laptop was stolen from my car after breaking car window.

however, i see the individual is seeking help to unlock my laptop (identified it by SN of my notebook) at techspot forum.

i have not been able to buy another one.

will someone help me send a private message (i do not have 45posts) or else help me find that person in any way. the only thing i know is tech spot user id.

Hmm, I have not found an issue with him, except possibly known to other banned members, possibly friends.

The strangest part, is the banned friend users of "superbenben" have the same IP as yours ! Which makes me think you are the problem :confused:

Before banning you, any issue like this for you and any others, please report the matter directly to the police. At which stage TechSpot will be only too happy to help with IPs and all relevant posts.

Have you anything to say about your IP being banned twice now?

yes, i know that you banned my ip address twice, but if you recall i was trying to contact superbenben in my posts.
that was the reason you blocked me, not realizing that i had my laptop stolen.


i doubt you will be eager to help police if they contact you because no one feels the pain except your self.

this pic belongs to my desktop, but i cant open my dell laptop. so i put that pic as an example. i need urgent help with dell bios pass. i even cant boot the cd when i tried to upgrade bios. thanks...

If you are able to boot from anything, use dst software.
If not, read pdf from Fastback68 and use paperclip procedure.

Just got around to unlocking an inspiron 600m I bought a few weeks ago....Paper clip method worked great....not for the faint of heart but not rocket science either....I took some pics and will post a tutorial later
