Dell BIOS Password Latitude D430

I've read the threads, tried multiple ways of getting past this problem but nothing seems to work. I am getting this familiar message: This computer system, #9BF9DG1-595B, is protected by a password authentication system. You cannot access the data on this computer without the correct password. Please type in the system or administrator password and press <Enter>. I've seen posts saying both that you can and cannot get a master password for the 595B. I'm at my wit's end and would prefer to not have to take the thing apart and start shorting stuff out unless it's absolutely necessary. Sorry if this post is annoying or over-posted, I just don't know what else to do.

It's a Latitude D430.

Help? Please?

Heres my tutorial on the Inspiron 600M
I uploaded it to rapidshare, if a mod wants to grab it and post on the server it would be fine with me as long as I get credit for creating it:stickout:

Good luck and hopes it helps someone:

Password for CPxJ

Hello,

I have a CPx J650GT which I can get into Bios setup pages but unable to set/change the setting values. Later I found out actually there is a Config password set in the Bios.

I have tried the Latitude.exe on the Service tag:3WIL9, but when I put the result P8U0AA0F in to the password box the Bios didn't take it. Please tell why or help with the password. Thanks very much.

Password for CPxJ

Thank you for your help Kimsland, so it appears that you suggest to short the chip instead.

I have never done this but I hope I will have enough courage to do it next couple of weeks after I read more with the suggested link. And I will sure report back with the result.

did you try the other exe as well? there should be 2 of them. one named latitude.exe and one named latitude_masterpw.exe.
try also an external keyboard, O instead of 0 and if you don't have an english keyboard layout make sure you press the right keys anyway :)

Latitude.exe is only for D35B Passwords (even older laptop than yours!)

For CPx please read the paragraph here: https://www.techspot.com/vb/post610782-4.html

if you take a look at the service tag you will see that it is one of the older tags - no 595b. so the latitude gen should work.

buddy, you managed to wait 3 hours. others wait for a solution weeks or even months. be a little more patient, please!

if I understand your first question right you simply can't access your laptop. this means you can't go online anywhere. if you mean different please explain your problem more detailed.
nobody can tell you how long you may have to wait here. sometimes guys come and give passwords for free. if you read through the whole thread you can find many information on how to get your problem fixed (e.g. call dell, buy a password off ebay or other third party, short the eeprom - which is possible with a d410).
post back if you have more information or questions.

okay the D410 was locked by Adim Password The Service was HG9MZ1J-595B.
I buy that by ebay. The Notebook will do nothing (only goes to the Side with Passwword)
Fore Dell i need the bill (thats not possible by a buy from ebay). i here that it was possible to short the eeprom but i dond know how to do ( where the eeprom was, and step by step what i must do)..was that okay to tell my pain mscrx?

@Moritz1969

thats explaining it better. well, you can claim ownership with dell without a bill. they have forms where you can say like "the previous owner is unknown" .... as long as the device is not reported as stolen you wont have a problem.
other option is to get in contact with the seller. did they mention in their auction that it is password proteced? if not you can get your money back unless they tell you the password or get it removed for you.
if you read through this thread you can find links to documentation for shorting the eeprom thingy. look for obi and/or kimsland posts.
else it is as it is... wait for a password or buy one somewhere. there is nothing else you can do, sorry.

okay the seller at ebay sad thats my Problem because (no chance to give back (private sell) stand in the diskription. So i must buy a password ( or search for a dell D410 eeprom diecription) but my enlish was bad so i cant search it for that D410 very heavy. Do you know that the price was (for a Password?)

I think no one van help me??
please, help.. i read (all) other post...

sry for opening new thread but all other threads by this topic are closed...

search the PW for:

#206D9J34P8F-959B, the system primary HDD, is protected by a password authentication system

please help. I used Password Fixing Utility 2008.10 Trial but this PW is absent.

my dell D410 have a extern CD drive. when i push the start button the screen with ..Admin Passwort press ..Enter comes..... What must i do to use the file DSTCD.rar ...from a CD with my notebook? and where i know if the cd drive are the first boot device (because i cant change it in Bios ...because i came not in the bios) sorry for that questions but i am not tecniion

@nanota

patience is the key. nobody said you get help faster if you read everything. reading is for understanding and possibly finding a different solution!

@Moritz1969

I know what you're talking about but if the item was not described as "password protected" it does not matter. it was sold as laptop and it does not work as a laptop. you can buy thousands of doorstoppers for the same money. if the private seller refuses to help get in contact with ebay because of a useless item.
I wont tell you where to buy passwords and what the prices are - google will.
you have a few options. its your choice now.

Add: the dst cd wont help you either. it can help you change the service tag and get rid of the bios configuration password. but it wont remove admin or hdd passwords....

okay i understand...in Google stand something at 50$ or 40 Eur. thats realy havy. so one option was to find the eeprom and reset that...or put the nodebook in trash...becaus it was not new and by a profi seller i can but it for 240$ as a new one.
about ebay (sorry i must look in a dictonary ) stands it was for thinker (to get for tecnisions)
so the seller was in rigth...grrr.
if you finde the Link with a discripiton to reset the eeprom let me know please.
And mscrx thank you for your help here

day when you will found the generator would not be very happy for Dell :)
I can help freely when I wish and I did it, and when I not wish I do not help.
I beg to differ

A guide (in English) would help immensely
For any others who cannot be helped freely, then this thread is not for you

I'm still searching for the generator, and if found, it will be made freely available to all

you said you want to pay but afraid to be ripped off. Try well-known ebay, it protect customer rights. Also I know at least one reliable person who know all tricks for password removal of various laptops and at least he return money if hardware hardly broken, but I never will be provoked to post it here.
I know many members here got HP generator, but where they all now? Tired to help to all for nothing, even for simple thanks.
Why is asking for assistance evil? What I consider evil is people out there wanting money to help but once paid they are never heard from again. I am more than willing to pay as long as it does what I need and not some scam.I am currently waiting on Dell to transfer ownership and that can take a month and if I can find a solution before then I will compensate that person if not I guess Dell will get the money if they can help.

If a 595B PW generator ever comes available I would more than happily help others out and not expect anything in return. If I did then I should not be hanging on a free forum.

Peace.
