Hello,
I have a CPx J650GT which I can get into Bios setup pages but unable to set/change the setting values. Later I found out actually there is a Config password set in the Bios.
I have tried the Latitude.exe on the Service tag:3WIL9, but when I put the result P8U0AA0F in to the password box the Bios didn't take it. Please tell why or help with the password. Thanks very much.
Latitude.exe is only for D35B Passwords (even older laptop than yours!)
For CPx please read the paragraph here: https://www.techspot.com/vb/post610782-4.html
sry for opening new thread but all other threads by this topic are closed...
search the PW for:
#206D9J34P8F-959B, the system primary HDD, is protected by a password authentication system
please help. I used Password Fixing Utility 2008.10 Trial but this PW is absent.

I beg to differ
A guide (in English) would help immensely
For any others who cannot be helped freely, then this thread is not for you
I'm still searching for the generator, and if found, it will be made freely available to all
Why is asking for assistance evil? What I consider evil is people out there wanting money to help but once paid they are never heard from again. I am more than willing to pay as long as it does what I need and not some scam.I am currently waiting on Dell to transfer ownership and that can take a month and if I can find a solution before then I will compensate that person if not I guess Dell will get the money if they can help.
If a 595B PW generator ever comes available I would more than happily help others out and not expect anything in return. If I did then I should not be hanging on a free forum.
Peace.
